NATIVE ENVIRONMENT: Tropical regions of Africa

UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS: TAMARIND has gorgeous bold compound foliage that can produce tamarind fruit and unique seed pods. May take maturity to achieve fruit. Prized as bonsai due to the very attractive rough bark that it develops, and the beautiful ‘orchid like’ bloom on mature trees. Tamarind likes full sun, with moderate water and fertilizer. Tropical tree, keep away from freezing temperatures.
